Consultation Information

Do I need a consultation before I can have treatment?

Yes, always. Every new patient is properly assessed before any treatment plan is agreed, so we understand your health history, your goals and whether a particular treatment is genuinely right for you. This applies whether you're coming to us for hormonal health, medical aesthetics, weight management or a minor surgical procedure.

Where are you based, and can I have a consultation remotely?

We see patients in person across our clinics in Beverley, York and Milton Keynes. Many of our consultations, particularly for hormonal health, can also be carried out remotely by video call for your convenience, though some assessments and all treatments need to happen in person.

Is The Dennison Clinic regulated?

Yes. We are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission, which means our standards of safety and care are independently checked, not just something we say about ourselves.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

It helps to bring a list of any medications or supplements you're currently taking, along with details of any relevant medical history. If your consultation includes a skin assessment, please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face where possible so we can assess accurately.

Do you treat men as well as women?

Yes. While much of our hormonal health work focuses on female patients, many of our medical aesthetic treatments, and Dr Almeida's minor surgery clinic, are available to men too. If you're unsure whether a particular treatment applies to you, just get in touch and we'll advise.

How do I cancel or change an appointment?

Please contact the clinic directly as soon as you know you need to change or cancel, and Lorraine and the team will do everything they can to help. We ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer your slot to another patient. Alternatively you can cancel or change your appointment directly through our booking platform (Fresha).

Can I discuss something that isn't listed on the website?

Of course. This site covers many of our treatments, but not everything we offer, and every patient's situation is different. If there's something you'd like to talk through, whether it's on this list or not, please get in touch and we'll be happy to advise.

Are your treatments safe?

Safety is at the centre of everything we do. Every treatment decision follows a proper clinical assessment, every member of our clinical team works within their training and competence, and we would always rather have an honest conversation about why something isn't right for you than proceed simply because it's been asked for. Equally we will discuss, in detail, the benefits and risks of your possible treatment options both during your initial consultation and prior to every clinical intervention. Informed consent is a requirement prior to all treatments.
