GP & Women's Health Specialist Joins The Dennison Clinic

Welcoming Dr Matthew Johnson to The Dennison Clinic

GP & Women's Health Specialist Joins The Dennison Clinic

A GP with more than 22 years' experience has joined the award-winning Dennison Clinic as it expands its specialist women's health and menopause services.

Dr Matthew Johnson, who was previously menopause lead at a GP practice, will provide online consultations for women across the UK.

His appointment comes as The Dennison Clinic continues to expand following its rebrand from East Riding Wellness and Aesthetics. The business has broadened its focus beyond East Yorkshire, with specialist services spanning women's health, menopause and hormonal care, alongside medical aesthetics, weight management and longevity.

Dr Johnson said access to personalised menopause care remained a challenge for many women, despite growing awareness of the impact menopause can have on physical and mental health.

"Menopause can be one of the most difficult and life-changing periods in a woman's life and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Women need time, understanding and personalised care to find the right solutions for them.

"General practice does an incredible job under increasing pressure, but the reality is that consultation times are limited and GPs are expected to be experts in a huge number of different conditions.

"My passion has always been women's health and menopause care. I want women to feel heard, understood and confident that they are receiving advice and treatment that is tailored to their individual needs."

Dr Johnson joins a growing multidisciplinary team led by twice-named UK Menopause Nurse of the Year Tracey Dennison. The clinic was named Best Menopause Clinic (North of England) at the Menopause in Practice Awards 2026.

Tracey, a British Menopause Society Registered Specialist menopause nurse and educator, said Dr Johnson's experience in general practice and commitment to women's health strengthens the clinic's team.

"Matthew brings a huge amount of clinical experience, but just as importantly he brings genuine empathy and a real passion for helping women navigate what can often be a challenging stage of life.

"We know many women have struggled to get the support they need. That's not a reflection on individual healthcare professionals, but on the pressures facing the healthcare system and the complexity of menopause care.

"Our aim at The Dennison Clinic is to give women the time, expertise and evidence-based support they deserve, and Matthew shares that philosophy completely."
